Buying from PlayStation Network

New games are not the only products available on PSN. It’s also possible to buy tools, weapons, cosmetic items, and extra downloadable content in PlayStation Store for a game you already own, and even buy subscription services, or movie and music streaming. That’s why it’s important to set the spending limits of minors. With Family Management, the monthly spending limits of under-18 accounts are set to zero by default.

Review your purchases

You can view all transactions made with your PSN account through your PlayStation in your Wallet under Settings, or via the Sony Entertainment Network website. Click the button below for step-by-step instructions on how to review your transaction history within the PlayStation 4 system.

If you’d like to review your transaction history on the Sony Entertainment Network website, sign in to your account. In the Account section, click on Transaction History.

Request a refund

If you’re in the UK, you can request a refund for a PSN purchase if:

  • the transaction was made within the last 14 days, and
  • the purchased content has not started downloading or streaming to your device.

This means that once a game or other content is purchased and begins to download, the purchase is not refundable, even if you have not yet played the game or if the download has not been completed. Using in-game items that you spent credits on in PlayStation Store will also make these items non-refundable.

If your purchase meets these requirements, click the button below. If your refund is successful, the relevant content will be removed from your account.

Control the purchases your child can make
